Typical inductive sensors

Inductive sensors are well-suited for the detection of metallic objects. Their durability and resistance to environmental factors make them highly versatile in a wide range of industrial applications. They are notably efficient in detecting end positions, providing highly reliable monitoring of flaps, doors, or locks. This includes precise control of lids on filling machines, accurate detection of passing metal flags, and determining the end position of a gripper.

Inductive sensors are extremely precise due to their high repeatability levels. Their simple design and uncomplicated commissioning ensure minimal downtimes. Through communication via IO-Link 1.1, these sensors can be individually parameterised. Smart functions enable optimal adaptation to applications, which was previously only possible at considerably higher costs. Diagnostic data such as switching cycles or sensor temperature can also be read out conveniently. This expands the field of application enormously and significantly increases safety during operation.
