FlexiBowl® orients and separates parts and can be integrated with any vision system and any robot for parts feeding.
The FlexiBowl® system is highly versatile, capable of feeding parts between 1 and 300 mm and from 1 to 300 g, regardless of:
In order to handle materials in the desired way, a feeding system is used in the manufacturing process to either dose bulk materials or extract, position, and guide them into a succession of production pieces. It is made up of an input basket that is used to hold production components or bulk materials. The pieces are either stacked in a row or the material is dosed at the feeding system's output. The feeder system's capacity (feed rate) and autonomous length are its most crucial components.
A conveyor and a step feeder make up the system. The components are taken out of the basket by the step feeder and put on the conveyor belt for additional processing.
Linear feeders, also known as Multi-lane Linear Systems, convey oriented components from bowl feeders over short or relatively long distances, thereby creating a buffer storage. They enable a consistent flow of orientated components from the bowl feeder to escapement devices creating product accumulation prior to a machine or handling unit.
